Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts

The Casal Collection, which was assembled by Ugo Alfonso Casal, comprises some 4,000 works of Japanese lacquer, mainly makie dating from the Edo period to the Meiji and Taisho periods. One of only a few collections in Japan assembled by a European.
