Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art

Yoshino Gypsum, a major construction materials manufacturer in Yamagata Prefecture, has amassed works of art since the 1970s, and now has one of the largest and highest quality collections in Japan. This exhibition will focus on collected works from 19th and 20th century France in acclaimed schools such as Impressionism, Cubism, and Fauvism. A fascinating medley of approximately 70 paintings, the showcase includes famous pieces by greats such as Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, and more. Not only will this exhibition provide a chance to see great works of art up close, it also reveals how modern Western art has evolved over the last two centuries.
