Shin-hanga, or “new print,” was a Japanese 20th-century art movement that brought traditional ukiyo-e art back into style. The term shin-hanga was coined by Shozaburo Watanabe, the most important publisher of new print works. This exhibition includes some 100 shin-hanga creations featuring motifs of richly colored Japanese scenery.
