The National Museum of Art, Osaka

This exhibition provides guests of the National Museum of Modern Art, Osaka with an opportunity to think about art from a variety of new angles. In our increasingly interconnected global environment that’s flooded with information in every possible field, art museums’ attempts to store and exhibit art by region are becoming ineffective. Instead, many are choosing to organize exhibitions by theme. In this exhibition, works displayed under 19 different themes are presented, inspiring viewers to pause and find new meaning in iconic, well-known pieces, as well as some 50 new acquisitions. Varied works of art are combined, juxtaposed, and highlighted to offer opportunities for fresh discoveries by art-loving guests.
