ATC Gallery
This touring exhibition is made up of 70 pieces of the famous street artist’s work. A British artist who has never revealed his identity, Banksy is renowned for his stenciled graffiti art which often comments on political and social issues. His first works were found in Bristol and London, but now can be spotted in cities worldwide, and his prints continue to fetch millions of dollars at auction—including, most famously, a self-destructing piece, “Love is in the Bin” that had a shredder buil into the frame. This exhibition is the largest of Banksy’s work to date and consists of objects and illustrations from private collections. It features various installations taken from Banksy’s world, including an imagining of his working environment; a video of Dismaland, a temporary satirical theme park he designed, and a recreation of The Walled Off Hotel, a boutique lodging in Palestine he designed as part of an artistic collaboration.
