Erlend Apnesth is an award-winning hardanger fiddle player (in Norwegian the instrument is called a hardingfele and is used to play Norwegian folk music). Originally studying Norwegian folk music, Apnesth has also ventured in to the jazz genre. He released his debut album Blikkspor in 2013 and last year released Ara with the Erlend Apnesth Trio.
Margit Myhr is a Norwegian musician, dancer, and singer. A multi-instrumentalist and award-winning dancer coming from a family of folk musicians, she is said to be one of the most talented current Norwegian folk vocalists.
The two performers come together to play for the first time in Japan. Expect an evening of fiddle, lyre, song and more when this young duo bring Norwegian folk to Kyoto.
