The Generation Axe tour comes to Japan, bringing with it the five great guitarists in Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt, Zakk Wylde, and Tosin Abasi. The project first came together in 2016 and was described by BAM Magazine as “Like dive-bombing planes, laying down a barrage of notes in deadly succession.” Steve Vai is a name synonymous with the guitar and he has also performed with David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. Yngwie Malmsteen is the Swedish master of neoclassical metal. Nuno Bettencourt is forever remembered for his superb playing with Extreme. Zakk Wylde is cut his teeth with Ozzy Osbourne before branching solo. And Tosin Abasi is the technical metalcore guitarist that founded Animals As Leaders. This is a gig not to be missed by guitarists and music fans alike.
