Herve Samb is a guitarist from Senegal that has graced over 100 albums with his virtuoso playing. He has played with the likes of Pat Metheny, Jimmy Cliff, and Meshell Ndegeocello to name just a few. He sums up his philosophy on music by saying, “All that I’ve done is to sound like I want to, who I am: a multicultural musician.”Playing jazz-electro-bop and a good mix of Senegalese dance, Samb released the album Teranga in January of this year. Calling himself an urban African man at 11 years old, he was deep into the blues and rock. He later grew an interest in jazz. At 19, he moved to Paris where he jumped straight into any musical opportunity he could find.A talented musician who brings a different vibe to the jazz genre.
