The Mad Professor is coming to teach us what a true master of dub can do. Mad Professor has been making some of the greatest dub reggae since 1979 and continues to be a leading artist in the genre. Besides creating his own excellent music, he has remixed artists as diverse as The Beastie Boys, The Orb, Rancid, and even Japan’s own Hamasaki Ayumi. His 1995 remix of Massive Attack’s album Protection is the high point of dub from the 90s. He also released 10 collaborations with Lee “Scratch” Perry during this period. With Saikoonkyo (最高音響 SOUND SYSTEM) providing the sound system for this gig, there is no better way to experience dub than through a literal wall of speakers!
