This exhibition marks the first orverview of works by Wim Crouwel, the 20th-century Dutch graphic designer best known for his contributions to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Crouwel is also renowned for his experimental computer writing system, stamps, and calendars. In 1963 he co-founded Total Design, a multidisciplinary design agency, and went on to introduce Swiss modernism in Holland. In his works, Crouwel created logical and systematic designs using grids, fueled by the belief that information design should be approached with an objective attitude instead of a focus on marketing goals. Guests will view over half a century of works created in a manner that joins theory with method while incorporating pleasing aesthetic effects.
