Galerie Tamenaga opened its flagship gallery in Tokyo in 1969. Ever since the gallery has played an important role in the international art world as one of the first commercial galleries in Japan to specialize in European Modern Art. In 1979 the gallery opened its Osaka and Paris branches. Since 2001, the Paris gallery has become one of the largest in the city with its extended exhibition space. Along with Modern Art masters, Galerie Tamenaga represents many talented contemporary artists from across the globe.
