Live Spot Rag, Kyoto

On April 15th, 2017 the music world lost another great artist in British fusion guitarist and composer Allan Holdsworth. A player of great skill and variety, known for complex chord progressions and solos, he began recording in 1969 and worked with some of the top names and bands in the industry. Of Holdsworth, Eddie Van Halen said, “That guy is bad! He’s fantastic, I love him,” and fellow guitarist Robben Ford commented, “I don’t think anyone can do as much with the guitar as Allan Holdsworth can.”

On July 22nd, Live Spot Rag will be holding a memorial live gig in honor of Allan Holdsworth with a performance from the tribute band Alien Holding Works. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the music and the man.
