Ishiyamadera Temple

Enjoy moonlit nights at Ishiyamadera Temple where the author of The Tale of Genji wrote the epic tale while looking at the reflection of the moon on Lake Biwa. A total of 2,000 lanterns and candles will be lit up as visitors enjoy theatrical shows about The Tale of Geniji and live music concerts.
