This newly established event celebrating traditional cuisine, which has been designated as being of cultural importance, offers the chance to learn all about the food culture of Kyoto, from local delicacies to lavish feasts. Events include the sampling of everyday dishes cooked by famous chefs, taste testing high-quality authentic stock, specialities from various regions, a market selling products of Kyoto, and an exhibition on the culture of tea ceremony. In addition, a hands-on experience of making powdered green tea, a workshop for children, and other interesting activities have been planned.
