Chinatown Kobe comes to life for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Mooncake Festival. Come and join in on the festivities held at Nankin-machi, celebrating a time when the moon is at its fullest and brightest. Enjoy the atmosphere among the red and gold lanterns, have your fill of authentic Chinese cuisine, and be entertained by the plethora of cultural performances. On the 22nd and 23rd, traditional music, martial arts, a lion dance, and a dragon dance will be performed. On Sep 24, try the special culinary dishes unique to this event at great prices. Nankin-machi’s very own mooncakes will be available for purchase throughout the three-day event.
