Isonokami Shrine, Nara

In a serene location surrounded by Japanese cedar trees, Isonokami Shrine is one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan. The shrine houses multiple national treasures and historical artifacts including the seven-branched sword (not open to the public). In this ceremony, a holy sword is passed from Isonokami Shrine to Kanda Shrine. At 5pm, the June Purification Ooharae will take place.
