Glen Matlock, the original bassist with the Sex Pistols, will be in Kansai for two dates this month. After leaving the Sex Pistols in 1977 (when he was replaced by Sid Vicious), Matlock stayed in music and made guest appearances in the studio with many artists including Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople), Frank Black (Pixies), and Primal Scream. After signing with Creation Records in 1995, he released his first solo album Who’s He Think He Is When He’s At Home. He has also worked with other groups as a member and a producer. Most recently, he worked with the Japanese girl band The Tomboys. The line up as far as support goes for the Varit gig includes The 50 Kaintenz, Large House Satisfaction, and The Tomboys. The Osaka gig at Janus includes King Brothers, The Tomboys, and The Mad Gentles.
