Gokonomiya Shrine

This eight-day event is hosted by Gokonomiya Shrine, which is central to the neighborhoods of Fushimi. Countless festivities including float parades and Noh performances take place as food stalls line the nearby streets. On the 5th and 12th between 7pm and 9pm, a parade featuring large umbrellas made from brightly colored flowers will make its way through the surrounding areas.
