Kameoka City (Various locations)

Originally conceived in the 17th century as a ceremony to pray for the safety from floods and famine, this event has become a signature festival of Kameoka City. On the first two nights, the beautifully decorated floats and family-owned screens will be on display. Food stands, music performances, and other entertainment will be available to enhance the festival mood. From 10am on the 25th, the floats will circulate through the neighborhood.
