Kyuan-ji

Each year between mid-November and early December, thousands of tourists come to see the canopy of crimson, auburn, and yellow leaves at Kyuan Temple in Ikeda City. On the third Sunday of November, the temple hosts a festival to appreciate the colors of the ginkgo and maple leaves and hands out {mochi} or rice cakes to its visitors.
