Chion-in

As part of a large festival to celebrate the life and teachings of the Japanese Buddhist monk Honen, an 11-hour Buddhist chanting event is held at Chion-in temple. During the night, visitors can drop by anytime at the Sanmon gate and enter the dimly lit room surrounded by religious paintings and statues.
