Pink Floyd Trips is probably the top Pink Floyd tribute band in Japan. Formed by guitarist ‘Shake’ Kogure in 2012, the band’s original aim was to focus on Pink Floyd’s earlier material. Over the two nights, the band will be playing two different sets – the 23rd is billed as a 70’s Prog Night and the 24th as a Syd Barrett Night.
When Pink Floyd Trips started out, they claimed they just wanted to have some serious fun, but as audience sizes have grown and demand to see them has increased, that idea of serious fun has become even more serious! Their current tour also celebrates 50 years since the real Pink Floyd released their debut album from 1967 – The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.
