Richard Dale Kotzen Jr. is an American guitarist, singer, and producer known by many for his time with US glam rockers Poison. However, he only recorded one album with Poison, (Native Tongue). A member of the band The Winery Dogs since 2012 (alongside ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portney, and Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan), he is a successful solo rock artist in his own right. Kotzen’s debut as a solo recording artist was nearly 30 years ago with his self-titled 1989 album and was followed a year later by Fever Dream. This year saw the release of his latest album, Salting Earth. On the new album, Kotzen states, “This record of all-new material really shows me in the realm of what I do as far as being a recording artist.”
