Tezukayama Gallery
Sculptor Satoru Tamura specializes in making machines from chains and gears that move in the shape of easily recognizable signs and symbols, like hearts, stars, and arrows. He aims to create captivating continuous motion with his works, rather than creating machines designed to serve a specific purpose or function. He began his Machine Series in 2010, and since then has tirelessly presented those pieces at art venues around the world. This exhibition is a continuation of that series, featuring new works that show the numbers 0–9 in various sizes. Previously displayed works will also be shown in the Viewing Room of the gallery.
