Shibagaki Shrine

A unique festival dedicated to better dental health. On August 8th at 8:08pm (a pun on the Japanese word for teeth ha which is another way to pronounce the number 8), 400 lanterns will be lit to pray for healthy teeth. It is said that local dentists and doctors frequent this festival.
