Formed in 2006 in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, a flood of circle is a Japanese experimental-rock trio consisting of Ryousuke Sasaki (vocals/guitar), Hisayo (bass), and Watanabe Hajime (drums). They signed to Loft Project’s CRUX sub-label and released their self-titled mini album in 2007. Taking inspiration from blues and 70’s hard rock, their next release was the 2009 Buffalo-Soul album. Jump forward to the present, and the three have just released their seventh album (in January), the twelve-track New Tribe. Last year saw the band play for the first time in London, England at some small but well-known venues (Camden’s Dublin Castle and Barfly). Frontman Ryousuke Sasaki said that the performances were a dream come true.
