Hotel Granvia Osaka

ART OSAKA, one of Japan’s largest annual contemporary art fairs, will be holding its 16th installment the weekend of July 7th and 8th on the 26th floor of the Hotel Granvia Osaka in Umeda. The venue will transform 68 of its hotel rooms into exhibition booths where 54 galleries from Japan and abroad will display the finest works from their representing artists. This year, fair organizers will set up “U-35 Sections” to introduce solo exhibitions by artists under the age of 35. “Exhibition PLUS” sections will also be set up to highlight the individual styles of artists representing participating galleries in solo exhibitions. Guests at the fair will have an opportunity to purchase the gallerists’ hand-picked Japanese contemporary artworks by both upcoming and established artists.
