Minatogawa Shrine

Twenty thousand bags of beans are thrown at the visitors in this bean throwing event. After a series of rituals to celebrate the coming of spring, the shrine’s {Fukumusume} or girls of good fortune in traditional costume throw the beans to the visitors.
