Minatogawa Shrine

Kusumoto Inari Shrine, located within the precincts of Minatogawa Shrine holds this yearly event held on “the first day of the horse” according to the Chinese zodiac calendar. This day is a crucial day to determine if the year will bring a good harvest, as a series of ceremonies including the ritual {Yutate Shinji} where the shrine maidens splashes hot water using bamboo leaves for purification is held.
