Tatsuta-Taisha Shrine
An array of religious rituals and ceremonies are held in honor of the gods of Tatsuta-taisha. To appease the wind gods, locals perform dances and taiko drumming. The shrine’s most important event of the year takes place from 9pm until 10pm, featuring performers chanting prayers amidst a shower of sparks from Roman candles.
As a COVID-19 preventative measure, participants are asked to wear a face mask. Photography is not permitted during the ceremony.
