Families with their young daughters display hina dolls to celebrate Girls’ Day. More than 100 houses showcase their precious hina dolls for tourists at this event. Enjoy walking in the old streets and meeting the locals’ smiling faces; visitors are always welcome to hear the locals’ anecdotes about their hina dolls (a set of Japanese dolls for Girls’ Festival) at this event. This is a highly popular attraction where residents of Tosa-kaido Street, which still retains the appearance it had centuries before, will exhibit these figurines for tourists. Nearly 40,000 people come to enjoy the excursion and the historic town every year. On weekends, there will be tea ceremonies, live music, a local produce market and many other fun events. Festival maps will be provided at Tsubosakayama Station.
