Kameoka City (Various locations)

Originally conceived in the 17th century as a ceremony to pray for safety from floods and famine, this event has become a signature festival of Kameoka City. On the first two nights, the beautifully decorated floats and family-owned screens will be on display. Food stands, music performances, and other entertainment will be on offer. From 10am on the 25th, the floats will circulate throughout the neighborhood.
