Yamashiro Sogo Undo Koen, Uji, Kyoto

For the Kansai area, we kick off with the Kyoto Daisakusen Mission Impossible (Jul 7th & 8th). Usually a three-day music festival, this year the event will only be held for two days. The bands performing on the opening day include 10 Feet (rock trio from Kyoto), Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Rottengraffty, and Brahman. The second day brings in some big rock names in Acidman and Dragonash, along with Dustbox (melodic punk), and punk trio Dizzy Sunfist. Last year the event was marred by a thunderstorm so remember to come prepared for the possibility of rain! The event is held in the large Yamashiro Undo Sogo Park next to Ritsumeikan High School in Uji. Driving to the event is not advised, but from JR Uji Station, it’s either a 10-minute bus ride or a 30-minute walk.
