Billboard Live Osaka

singer-songwriter

With the blonde hair, acoustic guitar, soft voice and meloncholy lyrics you could be forgiven for calling Lucy Rose a modern day Joni Mitchell. Releasing her debut album, Like I Used To, in 2012, the English singer-songwriter got her break after meeting and performing studio backing vocals for the UK indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club. Her latest offering is her fourth album, No Words Left. The 2019 release has in general recieved positive reviews with UK ‘Q’ Magazine stating “No Words Left, remains in the intimate, hushed acoustic sphere of her third release. It soon becomes evident, however, that, while stylistically similar, No Words Left is a more somber, heartbroken outing.” And in a recent interview with NME she professes that the album was written in a difficult time of her life. In the close setting of Billboard Live look forward to an intimate evening of folk, pop, indie acoustic songs with a subtle hint of jazz.
