Formed in 2013, London-based indie-pop band Night Flowers has been described as ‘dream pop,’ combining the vocals of American singer Sophia Petit with crisp guitar sounds and melancholy atmospherics from the rest of band hailing from North England.
With a busy touring schedule, the band has amassed a strong following since their debut self-titled EP, followed by the single 2015 Sleep (shortly after which a special EP and two-track single were released in Japan).
The band’s latest release is the album Wild Notion, a catchy reminder of 90’s indie pop but with a new modern twist. The band members describe themselves as “suckers for a catchy melody and a bit of guitar pop indie drama.” They’ve certainly accomplished that with their debut long-play album and there will no doubt be much more to follow.
