Matsunoo Shrine

Located near Arashiyama, Matsunoo Shrine has hosted the Onda Field Festival for many centuries to pray for an abundant harvest. Three girls are selected as the role of ueme, who will don a red-and-white sash and a floral hat as they plant seedlings in the rice paddy.
