Hine Shrine

Established 1,300 years ago, Hine Jinja is a unique shrine known for pillows. In the past, pillows were often offered to the shrine to pray for childbirth but recently many visit hoping to improve their quality of sleep. In this festival, 25 colorfully decorated pillows are put on five-meter bamboo poles and are paraded throughout the neighborhood.
