Tobihino in Nara Park, Nara

For some wild entertainment, you can’t go past the highly popular Shikayose – an event where hundreds of wild deer rush out to be fed with acorns. On a crisp, cold morning in beautiful Nara Park, a French hornist will play a verse of the Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony to call the town’s population of deer. See how tame and gentle these animals are as they form a line to march to the horn player. This is such an enjoyable attraction that members of the Japanese royal family have attended in past years. Make sure you don’t miss out on seeing it for yourself.
