Mt. Wakakusa in Nara Park

Join this magnificent spectacle where 33 hectares of grassland is turned into a sea of flames. This activity, heralding the coming spring and attracting millions of people each year, can be traced back to the 18th century, but its true origin is unknown. Starting with a fireworks display, the whole of Mt. Wakakusa gradually goes up in flames. Before the event, there will be a dance show, a ceremony performed by the Nara fire brigade, and more.
