Wada Shrine

Over 200 wind chimes swing below two towering ginkgo trees in front of the main shrine. The culture of hanging these ornaments at the entrance is derived from a belief that they create a soothing sound that ward off evil spirits. If you are lucky, you may even be able to spot the wind chime with an amabie (a mythical monster that is said to repel epidemics) illustration. On Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays, there will be an evening illumination from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
