Natsume Yujin-cho, known in English as Natsume’s Book of Friends, is a long-standing manga and anime series about an orphaned boy who can see spirits, an ability he inherited from his grandmother. For this exhibition, the Kyoto International Manga Museum has teamed up with the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2018 to celebrate the series, written and illustrated by Yuki Midorikawa, on the 15th anniversary of its inception. The exhibition features materials from the television anime series as well as the animated theatrical film, Natsume Yujin-cho: Utsusemi ni Musubu, which will be released in Japan on September 29th.
