Every year, the locals come to purify any bad deeds committed by blowing air on paper dolls. The paper dolls serve as a way to cleanse oneself of wrongdoings. To prevent misfortune in the future, people can walk through a large ring made from thatched plants, which is constructed on the path between the entrance and the main shrine.
