Various locations in Omihachiman and Hikone

About 70 artists from Japan and abroad showcase their works in Omihachiman, a quaint merchant town built along a canal, and Hikone, a historical town home to Hikone castle. The works of contemporary art housed in traditional Japanese buildings, ranging from a bathhouse to a sake brewery, that date from the Edo period (1603-1868). Events such as concerts, workshops and lectures will also take place during this period.
